At the heart of our automated retractable systems is Somfy motors and controls, the leader in Radio Technology Somfy (RTS). The most recent addition of the Somfy myLink now allows for the simplified control of RTS automated shade systems from a mobile phone or tablet.
The myLink is a 5 channel RTS controller, but it is not limited to controlling one shade per channel. The way Somfy RTS works is each channel can control either an individual shade or you can program as many shades to work together as a group. This allows for your customers to operate their shading system when and how they want from one central mobile device.
The myLink also offers the ability to create scenes and timed events for RTS systems. For example, you could create a scene where bedroom and living room shades open with just a tap on a favorite mobile device. With the schedules option you can have shades retract up and retract down at certain times of the day or night. You have the flexibility to schedule the day and times of your scenes. This is a great feature for anyone travels or taking a vacation and want it to appear as they are home. Setting up the myLink easy and intuitive. If you have an existing Somfy motorized RTS products you just need to verify at least one Somfy controller is operational. First, you plug in the myLink bridge into an outlet within close range to a RTS motorized product. Next, download the app to either an iOS or android device. Once the app is downloaded you will be taken through steps to pairing your myLink with your existing RTS motorized systems. A set-up wizard takes you through this process step-by-step making the process very easy to accomplish.
